Here are questions to ask your child about each new story
we read:
What is the setting for the story?
Who are the main characters?
What was the “big idea” of the story?
What happened first, next, and last in the story?
Did you learn anything about the author?
Why did the author write the story?
How were the week’s two stories alike or different?
What kind of illustrations did the story have?
Did you like the story? Why or why not?
Some authors have great websites. To find them use
goodsearch.com and type in the authors
name. Happy exploring!
