          Our school has recently adopted a new bullying policy. Sister Mary Margaret visited our classroom to go over the policy with the 3rd grade students. They signed a pledge saying that they understand the rules and consequences that are now in place.

 

 

  

Mass Schedule

 

These are the remaining dates that the 3rd grade class will read /usher /carry gifts for Mass:    Feb. 16 and Apr. 13.

During the school year we have three parties. The class has been divided so everyone has a chance to bring a snack/drink at least once.

Catholic School’s Week

 

Thanks to all of you who visited your child/children during Catholic School’s Week. They really enjoyed eating with you and showing off their classroom.

Handwriting

 

We have worked very hard learning to write in cursive. So far we have learned to write all of the lower case letters in cursive and will finish with the upper case letters in a few days.

We use the Zaner-Bloser method of writing.

 

 

   Reading

We are reading stories from the fifth unit in our reading books. The stories written by the following authors have been enjoyed by the class:

   James Marshall

   Suzy Kline

  Math

So far we have learned to multiply the numbers 0 through 5.

We are currently learning to divide with these same numbers.

Flashcards are a good way for your child to learn multiplication/division facts.
